The story begins with Clémence and Marcel Mutschler, owners of a farm, and Lipsheim's Café-Bar, "A l'Ange". When the head of the family dies, the question arises of what happens next: will we take over the farm? And why not go into catering and offer flambé pies and small Alsatian dishes?
Thus on April 4, 1976, Clémence Mutschler and her children opened the restaurant "A l'Ange". Gérard, Alfred, and Christian are busy in the kitchen of an establishment then unique in its kind. Very quickly, the customers jostle every evening, from Thursday to Sunday. We must soon think of enlarging.
In 1982 Reine (née Mutschler) and Yves Feger created the LLC "A l'Ange". They are expanding the menu and are also opening at noon… Beautiful sisters, spouses and brothers-in-law are gradually coming to complete this family team.
Some customers come from far away. Tourists, but also touring salespeople want to discover the soaring pie…. But the surroundings lack accommodation ... Never mind: a piece of land is free on the edge of the forest, after the last house in the village ... Reine and Yves build the Hotel "Les Alizés" which opened in 1993. So even as Fegersheim, Erstein and Geispolsheim welcome their activity zones, success is once again there.
In 2012 the third generation is on its way. The children, Jérémy and Stéphanie, who left to build an experience are back, with their skills… and their spouses Oriane and Frédéric, driven by the same passion.
In 2013, they enlarged the Wellness area of the Hotel "Les Alizés" which now offers an indoor swimming pool, a spa, a sauna, a hammam ... A weekend offer takes shape with a gourmet restaurant created by Oriane and Jérémy: "the Hotel Chalet". For the decor, mountain atmosphere and design, for the cuisine, regional classics and more daring mixtures. A card that looks like a travel diary.
Today, the family is in charge of three establishments where around 40 people now work. At the restaurant "A l'Ange", the Hotel "Les Alizés", and the "Chalet de l'Hotel", you will find the same tradition of hospitality and a passion that has remained intact over the years.
And the story is not finished: it is just beginning ... the 3rd generation is also full of projects. But…. Hush!
